Kim Johannesen, Kim-Erik Pedersen & Dag Erik Knedal Andersen
Kim Johannesen , born 1985, is a Norwegian guitarist and improviser living in Oslo. Studied jazz performance at the State Academy of Music in Oslo where he is currently studying for a master degree in improvisation.
Since 2005 he has been performing regularly in Oslo with various groups and has toured clubs and festivals in Europe and USA with Petter Wettre, REVOLVER!, Johannesen:Furu:Sandbakken and Golden Dawn.
He has also performed alongside Raymond Strid, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, Pat Thomas, Joe Williamson, Frode Gjerstad, Klaus Holm, Tatsuya Nakatani, Joel Grip and Lene Grenager.
In addition to upcoming projects with Chris Corsano, Axel Dörner, Roger Turner and Per Zanussi, Kim composes for and performes with the acoustic impro-duo with Svein Magnus Furu (The Eco Logic, Creative Sources, 2009), the jazz-trio Johannesen:Furu:Sandbakken (Kayak, AIM Sound City, 2009), the electric impro-groups Golden Dawn and REVOLVER! and with Jeremy Rose (Chiba Earshift Records, 2009). He also performes regularly in ensembles led by Petter Wettre (Appetite for Structure, Houshold Records, 2008).
