Event information
The late, great Gene Hackman stars in Francis Ford Coppola’s early film which follows a reclusive surveillance operator who is asked to eavesdrop on the conversations of a young couple with the resulting recording resulting in a moral dilemma. On its release in 1974 it won the Palme d’Or at Cannes and its reputation has grown ever since. Amongst his roles it remained a personal favourite for Gene Hackman.
