The first of several showcases will feature the following artists:
HEADLINED BY JAY FOREMAN:
Jay is one of the hottest properties on the musical comedy circuit in 2010. He came third in this year's Awards, though many judges felt he should have won it. Come and watch him perform an extended set.
'Arguably the most musically gifted songwriter among us tonight' - SPOONFED
'Likeable presence, elegant performance and an effective collection of gags....one of the most musically talented finalists' - CHORTLE
'Jay Foreman is a talent to watch. For me, he was head and shoulders better than anyone else in the final' - EARL OKIN
KEVIN DAVIDSON + FRIENDS
Kevin hasn't been involved in musical comedy for long, but that didn't stop him from storming to the Semi-Finals of the Awards with his smooth, sexy and ridiculous songs. Come and listen to his apple juice song...genius! He will also be joined by the Commie Faggots and Mooga Frese testing out new material.
BEN GLASSTONE
Multi-talented musician, composer and comedian with a style reminiscent of the great Tom Lehrer: http://www.musicalcomedy.co.uk/video/300/love-and-specs
His reviews speak for themselves:
'Glasstone mixes wildly disparate styles from Klezmer to Renaissance Madrigal and his lyrics are inspired' - NEW YORK TIMES
'Ben Glasstone's delightful songs' - TIME OUT
HANNAH BRACKENBURY
