Lido Love

Returning with us to the pool-side of our favourite Lido, this year we have: Tank TV, screening a series of short films in the changing rooms to give you respite from the cold; artist Hilary Powell screens 'Fleeting', a dramatic film of an installation with deck chairs she made in the empty Lido in 2003; Hammer and Tongues present a poetry slam with some of the most out spoken poets of the East End, while small press publisher Helen Slater will be providing take-away poems hidden in secret locations; bijou cult adio station London Fields Radio will be presenting a live broadcast from the event, interviewing old squatters and campaigners; and headlining our outdoor patio is the one-off reformation of Bon Bon Kaotikai, the original band who used to play in the disused Lido during the squatting years. Plus delectable cakes from Little Bird Bakery and warming food from the heart at the Lido Cafe.
