ELIZA CARTHY
Musician, singer, producer, curator, multi-prize winner, scion of a UK folk royal family, Eliza Carthy is one of the UK's pre-eminent modern musicians. She is well known for not just her 20 years performing folk, but her numerous innovative boundary-crossing projects and collaborations. On Eliza's new album 'Neptune' (May 9th) and tour, the 5-piece propose a new style of modern British music, full of that uniquely British blend of wit and surrealism, the light-hearted with the melancholic. Drums, bass, Hammond, accordion, fiddle, guitar, cello, piano. The performance is visceral, emotional and dynamic.
"Effortlessly confident, wildly varied and almost impossible to categorise. Magnificent."
-The Guardian
"Bewitching and original."
-Q Magazine
