Better known as singer/guitarist/songwriter from The Broken Family Band, Steven Adams called time on that outfit at the end of 2009. A year later he’s back with Singing Adams, a new band kicking out super-catchy choruses, great harmonies and showcasing his trademark lyrical incision.
Melinda Bronstein (Wet Paint, Absentee), Matthew Ashton (The Leaf Library, Saloon) and Michael Wood (Michaelmas) bring a wealth of influences to the band, which comes off like a cross between Spoon, Syd Barrett and a Phil Spector compilation. But more fun.
Singing Adams’ debut album is out on 4 April, with a single – the follow up to December’s I Need Your Mind/Amateur Reactions - out the week before.
