★ Onward Chariots ★ (NYC, USA)

People have compared Onward Chariots' music to the Beach Boys, Beulah, the Shins, Teenage Fanclub, and Belle and Sebastian, among others. Their summer tinged flower power pop is the missing link between 60s pop and 80s indiepop. The band were one of the highlights of Indietracks in 2010 and I'm dead excited that they're coming back to London to play their pop songs.

"I think I have found a new favourite band, a band that has such an effect on me that I want to listen to their songs over and over again and I still want more" -- Eardrums

★ The Sunny Street ★

Just announced for the NYC popfest, Anglo/French quartet The Sunny Street are a lo-fi pop treasure that joins the dots between the dreamy hazy pop of Mazzy Star and the indiepop of Brighter and a host of other Sarah favourites. The Sunny Street have been quietly kicking up a fuss over the past few years with appearances at the Indietracks festival, the legendary Nottingham Indiepop all dayer, a tour of Sweden and the awesome Let's kiss and make up Indie Pop Days weekender in Berlin. Their new album, "Hidden For Decades" is coming out soon on Plastilina records, too.

★ Owl + Mouse ★

Owl + Mouse hail from London and they have played for HDIF and had Ian (from HDIF) enthusing about their mesmerising set so much so that I had to book them. Their sound is a delicate and gentle folky take on indiepop which manages to sound a little like Allo Darlin', with a dash of The Magnetic Fields (check out their cover of 'The Book of Love' on their My Space!) and hints of Camera Obscura at their most vulnerable. Lovely.
