Freestyle Records springs into 2011 with the release of the debut album Colours by Frootful, which is the name guitarist Nick Radford records under. His fantastic debut album is a mixture of many different styles of music from ‘60s soul/jazz, Latin, ska and R’n’B, all shot through with Nick’s Grant Green and Kenny Burrell-influenced guitar playing.
It features a few special guests including vocalist Angeline Morrison from The Ambassadors of Sorrow, Damon Minchella (Trio Valore/Paul Weller) on bass and Pete Judd on sax and flute.
’Fish In The Sea’ has its roots in the early 1960s transition from R&B to soul. Jazz FM Album of the week
