The Martinu Quartet is a Czech ensemble specialising in the works of Czech composers such as Smetana, Dvorak and Janacek, and especially in the works of Martinu, whose complete quartets they have recorded on the Naxos label. They perform regularly at the Prague Spring Festival and in many European countries, the USA, Canada and Japan. Members will remember their performance of the Mozart and Brahms clarinet quintets with Angus Meryon in November 2008.
