igfest 2011 - the interesting games festival

Over 28th & 29th May Bristol's igfest will bring you street games, outdoor spectacles, mass social interaction, the reclamation of public urban spaces for play and adventure.

What’s on the menu? A taster to get your juices flowing...

Live out your cowgirl fantasy in the Cowgirl Rodeo - are you the cowgirl or the cow? Flirt with danger in The Vampires of Strawberry Hill. The pigs are hiding eggs, the birds are furious, who will win in Angry Balls? Or play Arcade Anarchy, the giant Tetris game - run the course, dodge the baddies and beat down Pacman, Mario and the Space Invaders.

The action will be centered around our Festival Hub and Tech Pavilion and we'll be mixing high-tech innovation with low-fi simplicity to bring theatre, suspense and city-wide drama into play. With guest designers from San Francisco, New York and the UK's blossoming street games community, igfest 2011 brings together the world’s best gaming talent.
