GRENOUILLES

Grenouilles are an acoustic act comprising of Ally Rogers, Joe Levell and Matt Myles. Having formed in Norwich in 2009 they have since supported acts such as The Mariner's Children and Pete Roe in local venues. Their debut five track EP from 2010 'Hawk On The Down' is available as a free download from bandcamp.com. 'Snow Hare' was written for a compilation of lullabies produced by Norwich-based Barefeet Records, and includes two members of the trio; Matt on guitar and Ally on vocals. The band is currently writing and recording new songs.

LAISH

Laish are an integral member of the acclaimed Willkommen Collective, a thriving part of Brighton's alternative folk scene. The band's members have played with the likes of Laura Marling, Alessi's Ark and The Leisure Society, as well as supporting Sons of Noel and Adrian on European tours in 2010 and 2011. Daniel Green's distinctive voice is joined by an inventive fingerpicking style, unusual vocal harmonies, violin, rumbling bass, accordion, clarinet and rattling drums. Live shows often include unplugged songs sung amongst the crowd. Laish released their debut album on Willkommen Records in the Winter of 2010 and have since been touring the UK extensively.

BELLA SPINKS

Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music: "Bella has the true instincts of every born poet, lyricist or writer that ever breathed...already knows in her bones the secret to creative writing." Bella Spinks is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Brighton. Fusing her characteristic piano style with inventive vocals, she has drawn comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush and Regina Spektor. Her debut single 'Words' was released in July 2011 to much grassroots critical acclaim. Her live performances have been described as being "intriguing and compelling". To date she has supported Ellie Goulding, Alex Winston, Lindi Ortega, Ruarri Joseph and played Communion nights in London and Brighton.

ALEX ROSS

In his own words: "Alex Ross listens to Brand New, Pavement, Neutral Milk Hotel, Patti Smith, Kevin Devine and other people too. He sings songs and it often ends up sounding like a combination of the above, amongst other things. He also reads books by Charles Bukowski and listens to Bill Hicks sets. Which is nice. He is rumoured to have invented the pyjama and founded a school of thought known as pre-post-pre-anti-pro-modernism. He has not played shows with many people you would have heard of, though most of the people he's played with have been awesome. Do watch him because otherwise he might cry."
