KUAIGORA comes in various shapes and sizes. Led by japanese artist Rica, this international band create an intimate musical playground for her enchanting songs to come alive. “An experimental, densely layered six-piece. Evidently the driving creative force, Minami instantly proves herself to be not only a gifted musician, but in addition an utterly charming performer – beguiling the audience with an almost child-like fragility. Delicately treading the precarious line between inventive experimentation and accessible, gig-friendly material, the six-piece soar across a varied set, flawlessly blending a jazz-inspired rhythm section, percussive keys, unspoiled, ethereal vocals and vintage guitars: a genuinely refreshing antidote to the current spate of self-aware indie-pop. There is a certain elegance to tracks ‘Kingyo’ and ‘Daylight’, a deft touch merely hinting at the wealth of intimidating talent on stage” - ‘The Girls are’ magazine" Ethereal vocals float above a sea of pianos, loop pedals and cellos in this Japanese singer songwriters mystical music landscape” - The Roundhouse

LOU DOLUBU : Throughout her upbringing, from family and teachers alike, Lou heard words that at the time she considered wise, for example, "Always make sure you have more money in your bank account than in your handbag," or even, "When you grow up make sure you get a proper job, and not something like a musician." Of course, wisdom has many disguises, but thankfully Lou could see that bullshit wasn't one of them. Upon leaving university she did what most of us do, she got a job, as an astronaut. After a few years though things weren't going to plan and she quit, "I've got nothing against astronauts," she says, "but let's be honest, who wants to be an astronaut all their lives!" So she decided to put all her time and energy into doing something she felt she could do for the rest of her life, so she became a receptionist. Alas, after just two months she was fired. Not being able to find any work, she chose to do something that would really piss her parents off. Yes, you've guessed it, she got into music. Not with any intention of becoming a big star or anything, oh no, her parents would approve of that, but more to see what happens if you 'go with the breeze.' And that pretty much brings us up to date, "I'm not going to lie, it's not all a bed of roses, there's a few tulips in there as well!" she confesses about her current situation. "Plus there's the excitement of not knowing when I'm going to get paid," she enthuses, "sometimes I don't eat for six or seven weeks, but at least I can sleep at night knowing that I'm being true to myself, and if my music happens to put a smile on only one person's face, then it's obvious, there's one more person smiling .. isn't there!" So as it turns out, all that schooling ended up being a slightly pointless education for Lou, "Yes, I learnt way too little about too way little," she's concluded, "I've learnt so much more in the last few years about life and the world by simply traveling and playing music. And recently I've had my most important lesson to date, one that school never taught me, that life isn't what's going to happen, it's what's happening now". Lou Dolubu is currently in the recording studio, working on her debut release, but when she finds the time she is gigging around London with different accompanying musicians and in this case it will be Bethan Ecclestone (accordion) and Maria Rodriquez (cello)

Plenty of "small gigs" are daily booked in London and lots of "big shows" take place in the capital every night. The BTZK community unveils itself with 4 "small shows", cause there's something wrong in what they call "gig" and something delicate in what is "small", something distracting in what is "big" and something interesting in what is supposed to be a show. 8 different London based storytellers and musicians will be on stage looking at how deep is the sound of a listener. 8 different amazing stories of stories. 4 nights to help songs to come back to their lawful owner. Listener. It's up to you. You can turn this step into the frst of a long walk...There's much more to tell.
