Celebrate one of the most important purveyors of reggae/ska - The Selecter ft Pauline Black & Gaps Hendrickson. With classic tracks such as THREE MINUTE HERO, JAMES BOND, MISSING WORDS, CARRY GO BRING HOME & ON MY RADIO, THE SELECTER became one of the most relevant and important bands to emerge from the ska/reggae scene in the eighties.

Originally formed almost by accident after local ska heroes The Specials needed a B-side for their debut single Gangsters, it was quickly decided to form a band to capitalise on the success of the record and it's B-side. The Selecter where born, albeit with a different line-up to the musicians who recorded The Selecter. Soon afterwards Pauline Black, Noel Davis, Charles H. Bainbridge, Desmond Brown, Crompton Amanor, Gappa Hendricks & Charlie Anderson adopted a new identity - The Selecter where formed. With four major hit singles under their belt the band proves that Ska lives on !!

Due to the huge demand, the doors for this gig will be opening @ 7.00pm, with the first band on stage @ 7.30 pm. Advance ticket prices apply till 6.00pm on the day of the gig.
