House of Cards presents: Sandboy

Sandboy are a 5 piece, British, alternative Rock band from Manchester. The founding members Denis Ferrige (Bassist) and Steven O'Toole (Guitarist) first played together in their teens at a youth club in Manchester. They have more recently been joined by Neil Marra (Singer) Nikki Jennings (keyboards) and Jim Correy (Drums).

Its hard not to be influenced by the enormous wealth of music from the city they have grown up in, however, the band have always delved further a field and have experimented with several styles, always with the importance of the song in the forefront of their minds. Their songs tell a story of the here and now that is indicative of the way we live today.

Paul Downes, Jimmy Greenall, Tom Gladwin (Shed Seven) and Ken Sayers are People In Airports. They have just released their debut album 'Beats Ahoy'. Dreamy pop is combined with the more visceral and urgent qualities of classic English groups like The Jam, with a 60's pop sensibility thrown in for good measure.

Andy Stones is a singer/songwriter and guitarist, born and raised in Yorkshire's capital city, York. He started playing the guitar and writing songs at the age of 14, and now, almost 16 years on, Andy has gained a wealth of experience playing the acoustic music scene all around the north of England.
