Gerard Logan brings to Uppingham his electrifying, internationally-acclaimed solo presentation of The Rape of Lucrece, Shakespeare’s brilliant, brutal narrative poem about the dreadful crime of rape and its aftershock.
The show is directed by Gareth Armstrong, who has developed and directed many successful solo shows, and since gaining 5 Stars at Edinburgh 2008 and 2011, The Rape of Lucrece has
played to, and been rapturously received by, packed houses throughout the UK (including Bath Theatre Royal, Oxford Playhouse and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough) and
abroad. Sir Trevor Nunn described it as “Sensational”.
