Completely authored by Manchester Literature Festival slam winner Dominic Berry, Wizard is about someone who hasn’t been outside his flat for months and a friendly neighbour called Man who visits to rapport with him. Wizard can see amazing magic in places most people can’t - a dragon ninja drag-queen scaling his shower, a menopausal midwife haunting his kettle. Based around poetic interchanges between Man and Wizard, and blends this with Hip Hop, comedy, and theatre.

Based on Dominic’s own experiences of agoraphobia and anxiety attacks, Wizard combines comedy, lyrics and physical theatre in a quest to find magic in even the darkest places.

Then stay after the show for pie and peas and an extended poetry reading by Dominic.

Dominic Berry is a funny, lyrical, deeply uplifting and slam-winning poet. From vegan limeriks and video game villanelles to time-travelling love poems, there is something for everyone in Dominic’s high energy, fast-paced stand-up set. Contains some strong language and some adult material.

Tickets: £13.50 or £10 for concessions or anyone who has attended an Arts on Prescription course. This includes a pie and peas supper and entrance to both the Wizard show and the Wizard poetry readings.
