William D Drake + Stars In Battledress
An evening with William D Drake, celebrating the launch of his two new album releases: Briny Hooves & Yew's Paw. An outstanding and experienced musician, William played fiendishly difficult keyboard parts for The Cardiacs in the 80’s. A prolific career spanning twenty years, playing in innumerable bands, turning his hand to imrov, shoegazing, prog-goth, country-rock and more. His solo work, now, gives his compositional skill the chance to shine: Yew's Paw Drake’s instrumental piano album, highlights his talent as a classical composer and pianist, whilst Briny Hooves reveals Drake’s evolution as a songwriter, singer and frontman. A man who will take you to dark places, but won’t let go of your hand. Sad, warm and reassuring.
