1969….Man sets foot on the moon and Hawkwind play their first gig…….
Fast forward 40 years and Hawkwind continue onwards on their voyage of space inspired discovery.
Whilst not the first band to celebrate their 40th anniversary, few others can lay claim to having toured in each of those 40 years, a tradition Hawkwind continue into 2012.
40th Anniversary celebrations started in August with headline appearances at the Beautiful Days and Green Man festivals, before 2 exclusive Hawkwind Happenings at London's Porchester Hall. All were met with rave reviews from both fans and press alike.
This annual pre Christmas trek sees the band playing a selection of tracks from their vast back catalogue, as well as previewing songs from their new studio album released in 2010.
Join them on this not to be missed psychedelic extravaganza delivered with a glittering array of projections, dance, theatricals and special effects……..as only Hawkwind can ensure…..Hold on tight as the journey continues…..
