The Miller’s Tale by Geoffrey Chaucer
The fabulous fun-filled fable from the famous Canterbury Tales.
A highly original and inventive interpretation of the tale as told by Mr. Pete Morton, with the help of the songs of Mr. Bob Dylan, a few others besides, and quite a few hats.
A mad, medieval musical monologue of poetry, comedy, song and the occasional dance.
Pete Morton has taken a gem of a story and re-worked it brilliantly for a contemporary audience, he’s blown the dust off Chaucer's language and made us hear it afresh, he’ll make you listen, sing..... and cry with laughter. It’s brilliant! Chaucer himself would have been delighted at Pete's inimitable wacky style and would have become an overnight fan of Bob Dylan!
All this al fresco on the delightful Otford Recreation Ground, commencing at 6.00 pm on Sunday 3 June 2012. Full bar provided, bring a picnic with you and a blanket or your own chairs, as you prefer.
