The Ripieno Choir's ever-popular Supper Party Concert has a French accent this year, inspired by the 150th anniversary of the birth of Claude Debussy. His exquisite Trois Chansons, settings of medieval poetry, will be the centrepiece and will be surrounded by some of his piano music and songs by Saint-Saëns, Fauré (his popular Cantique de Jean Racine), Lauridsen and, from an earlier generation, Josquin des Prez. There will also be a few surprises - not necessarily French.
