Midsummer Night Screen are returning to Dalston Roof Park, bringing together film and music in another summer of al fresco rooftop events.

July sees us screen the ethereal classic Lost In Translation starring Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson.

We’re planning an evening inspired by Sofia Coppola’s hazy, dream-world interpretation of Tokyo at night, with music by Phoenix and My Bloody Valentine and a well-stocked bar providing the fuel for your own serendipitous meetings.

Scarlett’s infamous pink wig is sure to make an appearance. All we need now is our very own Bill Murray…

Food and drink will be available to buy as per usual, provided by The Long Table and Background Bars.

Bob Harris (Bill Murray) is an American film actor, far past his prime. He visits Tokyo to appear in a commercial for Suntory whiskey, and meets Charlotte (Scarlett Johanssen), the beautiful and bored young wife of a visiting photographer.

Director Sofia Coppola offers a story of love and friendship blooming under unlikely circumstances in this sweet, melancholy film, featuring a dreamy soundtrack by Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine.
