Aye Write! Glasgow's Book Festival in association with the National Library of Scotland, present a discussion on the importance of archives to cultural heritage. Stuart Kelly will chair this session, involving Edinburgh's own cultural impresario Professor Richard Demarco, of the Demarco European Art Foundation, and David McClay, Curator of the John Murray Archive. Do we recognise the importance of cultural archives to the story of our nation and how can we best preserve and exploit these important resources? What do they tell us about our attitude to art, literature and our sense of ourselves? Do we need a Scottish cultural research portal?
In association with Aye Write! Glasgow's Book Festival and the National Library of Scotland.
