Another Ripieno Choir exploration of Bach’s splendid Christmas music is long overdue. The radiant joy of Christmas Oratorio (Parts i-iii) will be complemented by the exuberant Magnificat, complete with the extra seasonal movements which were removed after the first performance. The choir will be accompanied by a baroque orchestra, topped by the distinctive gleam of Bach’s high trumpet parts.
