Big Cat coalesce heavy riffs with melodic soundscapes – with anything being possible from members Ruth Goller (bass), Chris Montague (guitar), James Allsopp (saxophone) and Tim Giles (drums). Bizarre blues run into dripping laments, the composed runs into the improvised. With influences ranging from Captain Beefheart to Bill Frisell to William Parker, Big Cat are constantly surprising and entertaining.

Bug Prentice is an avant-punk trio featuring Ally Craig (voice and guitar), Ruth Goller (bass and voice) and tonight James Maddren (drums). Ally's songwriting takes inspiration from such varied sources as classic Hollywood films, Deerhoof, amusing youtube videos, Kurt Vonnegut and honorary titles awarded by landlocked American states. Thanks to a computer error, they are one of the few bands to have been played backwards on the radio.
