Christmas Concert w. Tom & Barbara Brown & friends: Shammick Acoustic

It’s rare for Shammick Acoustic to promote a concert in December, but this one doesn’t quite clash with Christmas itself, so founder members of the club, Tom and Barbara Brown, will be getting together with other singers and musicians from around North Devon to mount a Christmas concert of appropriate songs, carols, music and readings. Tom and Barbara are professional musicians and singers, and are renowned for their knowledge and renditions of traditional songs, particularly of the West Country, but also from further afield. They have been putting together shows for the past thirty-five years on subjects as widely different as farming, songs of the sea, English landscape, village life, and the seasons of the year, and whilst doing so, have worked with a myriad of folk performers from all over the country. So, for those who fancy something a little different from the telly or the pantomime in the way of Christmas entertainment, look no further.
