Event information
Penya are a band from London led by Colombian singer - song writer Angelica Lopez. They sound like a fiery mix of Cumbia, Charanga, Ska, Reggae and Funk all bound together by Angelicas natural inclination toward story telling.
Hailing from the city of Cartagena on Colombia's Carribean coast, Angelica grew up immersed in folklore, dancing Cumbia and Mapalè barefoot on the streets of her hometown.
A professional singer by 17, Angelica toured to London where she quickly put down roots forming Penya with like minded musicians she met whilst gigging on London's Latin scene.
Penya's songs, all originals, are a seed mix of styles that reflect Angelica's life experiences in Colombia and London.

The venue comprises both seated and standing space. There are a limited number of tables. These are allocated on a first come first served basis, with priority given to diners. If you’d like a table, please ensure you arrive early.
