Akoustik Anarkhy presents:
AUTOKAT (Manchester)
Manchester’s best-kept secret, Autokat, return to play tunes from new and acclaimed album late Night Shopping, music informed by the shadows of the city, the paranoia of urban life and the hangover of too much partying, this is a tense, turbulent album - an indie classic in waiting.
Think Magazine mixed with The Cure and early Radiohead, but contemporary too - Autokat’s sound is, as The Guardian Guide expertly put it, ‘Bloc Party without the earnest wibbly-wobbly worrying’.
Autokat are already able to realise the kind of intelligent post-Britrock sound that few others seem able to manage. - The Independent
Sleek’n’sexy post-rock with one foot firmly on the dancefloor. NME

At last: electronica with substance! - Sounds XP
Notably genius - Drowned in Sound

SEVENTEEN EVERGREEN (San Francisco, CA)
Spend a minute with any track of Seventeen Evergreen's UK debut album Life Embarrasses Me On Planet Earth and you’ll be greeted with the sirens of the forest, the stars in the sky and the vibrations of the ground dancing together in the ether to form an intricate yet consummate aural feast.
A mix of pastoral melodic indie and mellow sci-fi twiddling (think Flaming Lips in slo-mo informed by Cornelius, Aphex Twin and Eno), Seventeen Evergreen are signed to London-based Lucky Number records (Sebastian Tellier, Keith, Jake Bullitt) and on this first visit to London have already been booked in to do live sessions with sessions for Gideon Coe (6 Music), Jon Kennedy (XFM) and Rob Da Bank (Radio 1). thankfully they're also do some good old-fasioned gigs and we're proud to have them.
