Fumi Okiji's fine voice hints at her Nigerian roots, and carries the echoes of decades of jazz chanteuses who sing of their life's experiences. Here she teams up with the internationally renowned vibes player, Orphy Robinson in an open ended exploration of improvised sound. Noel Taylor & Nick Stephens bring a focus on tonal qualities, and the entire ensemble can be expected to create music that sings.

'Heimweh's five members share backgrounds in rock, Balkan music, straight jazz, classical music - all submerged into a style of free improvisation that is full of energy and fun, with high levels of musicianship. This is their first visit to London.
