Upon his death, Henry Purcell was hailed as "The greatest genius we ever had". Edward Elgar, Benjamin Britten and renaissance master William Byrd are our other contenders for the title: "Best ever British classical composer". We'll present the case for each, you select the winner, and thereby select your encore!
