Another highlight of 2012 was the Gregory Page performance at The Palmeira. Our advise is come along and experience for yourself the unique enchanting trance Gregory and his band have over a room.
Under the cover of darkness, Gregory Page's family escaped to America in September 1976. Upon his arrival to California he began a series of odd jobs, namely as a cab driver and cook; he also began tirelessly writing and recording his own brand of music.
It's hardly an exaggeration to observe that the voice and music of Al Bowlly had a definite affect on Page's career. Sitting day after day with his living musical mentor Lou Curtiss - who owns a record shop - listening to the songs from the bad old days, Gregory's voice and songwriting was shaped into Black & White.
"Page has really gone and done it. This time he strikes up a band like a jazz cigarette with his terrific new album Shine Shine Shine" - Jason Mraz
