The Green Light Fashion Showcase

Presented by: arts.spc
0OXFORD: The Hub
PFriday 1st March, 2013
N9:30pm

Event information

Look to 'The Green Light' and be swept away in 1920s fashion and culture as some gorgeous ladies and gentlemen swan down the catwalk in a series of looks inspired by the age of jazz, prohibition and modern madness.

'The Green Light' is a one-off student publication from the team at arts.spc exploring the ins and outs of 1920s society and culture across the world: from Modernist literature and art to the rise of silent film, the icon of the flapper girl to the underworld of New York's gangster scene.

This very special event at the beautiful Oxford Hub building aims to raise money for not just the Hub itself but also The Rehema Project, a scheme that empowers victimised Tanzanian women by giving them the skills to create craft products and generate their own source of income.

Expect live music, a piano bar, stalls selling vintage and hand-made jewellery and clothes, chocolate truffles, a raffle to win a bottle of champagne amongst other great prizes and to cap it all off - shimmy the night away in the 1920s dancehall.

And for all of that tickets cost just £7 available for purchase online (with a 10% booking fee)

There are just 60 tickets available for the show but the dancehall will be open to all from 11pm for a small on-the-door donation of £2.
