House of Cards is delighted to welcome to the stage the return of 'The Rockingbirds'

The short version of The Rockingbirds saga is that they released two acclaimed albums, but effectively burned out due to an over-enthusiastic lifestyle and imploded.

However, when their label, Heavenly Recordings, threw an 18th birthday festival in London in 2008, The Rockingbirds arose phoenix-like to play the Southbank on, September 13th.

Now they have signed to the magnificent Loose records, their new album 'The Return of the Rockingbirds' will be released on Monday 25th February.

The Rockingbirds are: Patrick Arbuthnot (pedal steel), Andrew Hackett (guitar, backing vocals), Dave Morgan (drums), Mark Duncan (bass), Sean Read (keyboards, horns, backing vocals) & Alan Tyler (acoustic guitar, vocals).

Jim Adama

"This is everything the blues should be, and everything a lot of people playing "blues" aren't these day. His bare bones style and innate sense of the perfect riff - the dirty distorting bass string rhythms, the bends on the high notes and the loosely picked chords - echo those legends of the pre rock'n'roll era"

Mog Stanley

Song singing, guitar playing foot tapping blues folk indie musician residing in the northern quarter of beautiful England.

"Mog Stanley has a bright future in the music industry, his melodic and haunting vocals are beautiful and touching. Mog's well put together Blues style riffs, combined with his modern day and thought provoking lyrics provide endless listening experiences." Freaky Pug Records
