After a year of performing her Folk/Americana-tinged songs as a solo artist at venues and festivals around the Midlands, Louise Petit attracted an experienced band of acoustic players from all over the UK. During 2012, her melodic, hook-ridden material and dynamic live shows have caught the attention of promoters and audiences alike. They’ve also supported international folk and other artists including Scott Matthews, Hope & Social, The Musgraves, Louise Jordan, Sally Sweet and Old Man Luedecke. “Lilting twee-free romanticism drawing on many cultured Folk traditions…reminders of Mary Coughlan’s punchy wit underscored by breathy timing and minor key shifts.
