Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon is the play behind the Oscar-nominated film starring Michael Sheen and Frank Langella. It reveals the story behind the interviews that brought 45 million viewers and a confession that the whole world had been waiting for.
Set in 1975, post-Watergate, the piece portrays a clash of two ambitions as David Frost records a series of no holds barred conversations with the disgraced ex-president Richard Nixon. For Frost, the show is his one chance to regain worldwide fame and fortune. For Nixon, it is a precious opportunity to redeem himself in the eyes of the American people.
Staged in the same venue where Nixon gave his apology speech in 1978, it is a play steeped in tension and debate.
Ticket holders are eligible to attend a complementary speaker event at the Oxford Union - further details will be sent upon reservation.
