Advanced booking only at £5.00 (£6.00 on the door) - for Charles Hayward, founder member of 'This Heat'and the veteran of a huge range of collaborations with seminal figures like Fred Frith, Robert Wyatt, Gong (and so much else) - who comes to Arch 1 with two recent projects. He will carry out a solo performance which merges song fragments with improvised sonic & percussive effects, and also present the beautifully austere 'Bell Agency' along with Merlin Hayward and Ashleigh Marsh.

Fummi Okiji has a devoted following for 'Fumi Okiji's Old Time Jazz Band' which re-mint jazz standards - but, following on from a recent appearance with Orphy Robinson, Nick Stephens and Noel Taylor in a far more experimental setting - she is back once more on the improv trail, joining up again with Taylor, and this time joined by classically trained guitarist, Andrea Caputo. The combination leads to floated, trance-like murmerings that briefly resolve into echoes of the blues and delicate jazz inflections.
