The Symphony Orchestra invite you to take a gallop around Europe, following the eccentric route of tonight’s programme. There’s an Italian writing about a Swiss hero (Rossini), an Englishman describing events in France (Gurney), and a Frenchman and an American both writing in a Spanish style (Chabrier and Henson-Conant). The orchestra’s performance of Mozart’s grandest and most joyous Symphony, Jupiter, completes the programme and takes us literally out of this world!
