Written and performed by Tony Parkin, this show tells Poe's life through poems, biography, excerpts, letters, and quotes. Drunken binges, lost love, fame, and broken dreams. First produced in 1972, and coming to Brighton for the first time, where J H Ingram resurrected Poe's reputation, and Poe had correspondence with
locals Sarah Helen Whitman and Sarah Elmira Shelton (formerly Royster).
