Nick Helm: Work-in-Progress
Join the star of BBC3's 'Live at the Electric' and Channel 4’s '8 Out Of 10 Cats' and 'The Boyle Variety Performance', Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Show 2011 nominee Nick Helm as he tries out new material for his new 2013 Edinburgh Show.

‘A full-on assault on the senses of humour, dignity and pathos. It ain’t pretty, but it is hilarious.’ **** Chortle

‘A dazzling hour... Terrifyingly enjoyable.’ **** Evening Standard

‘Brilliant.’ **** Sunday Times

‘A mesmerisingly volatile, unpredictable and laughter-filled experience.’ **** Daily Telegraph

‘His show is invigorating, unpredictable and unreliable. I loved it.’ **** The Times

‘Once again, Helm’s come up with a high-octane, brilliantly silly hour with tons of big laughs throughout.’ **** Time Out

And:

Nathaniel Metcalfe: Enthusiast
Over the last decade Nathaniel Metcalfe has wasted his life indulging his obscure minor obsessions and now he needs to justify it to you and himself.

Nathaniel has been doing stand up since May 2007, and got through to the semi-finals of the So You Think You’re Funny? competition after only five gigs. In 2010 he got through to the semi-final of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year and the final of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year. That summer he also appeared as one third of the sketch group The Brotherhood of the Leaky Boot in Edinburgh. He is the only resident act at Josie Long‘s Lost Treasures of the Black Heart club and supported her on the Manchester date of her current UK tour in January 2011. He is soon to be heard on “James Acaster’s Findings” (BBC Radio 4). This is his debut show.

“Wonderfully quirky” Time Out

"There is a touch of the Stewart Lee about his delivery as he employs long pauses, and a great deal of repetition to emphasise his points, but it’s Lee on ecstasy. A friendly, jovial enthusiastic fellow.” Chortle

”Brilliant, unusual and very funny” Josie Long

"Genuinely one of the best five comedy shows I have seen. Original and hilarious" Josh Widdicombe
