Will Stapleton- Singer songwriter with full band. He's got quite a grungy voice, like a Dave Grohl getting on a Cat Stevens tip He's got his sensitive Damien Rice like side too. Charming work. Goldstar- combining skanking pop reggae with a finestyle diva soul voice very adeptly...imagine Rianna fronting Dreadzone..kinda...very mainstream but very adventurously conceived. Ruth Royall- An Amy Winehouse style effortless soul cum jazz happening from this excellent new Bristolian talent... ...its jazzier, more organic and acoustic sounding too....Maria Muldaur, stuff like that...real good. Laura Jeanne- Soul singing chick with sound that soars and her voice has some good soul queen reference points like Minnie Ripperton and her out of Massive Attack, in fact this meshes a Massive Attack moodiness with a black American sensibility a la pop soul mighty fine. Tom Mann- 19 year old singer-songwriter based in the UK. I have played many London shows this year including O2 Academy2 and featured on BBC Radio 1 Introducing which included an interview with Nick Grimshaw & Annie Mac when he was just 15...
