The Breakdown- a fair bit of Kings Of Leon in their sound but guitars are a little more angular and indified a-la Bloc Party and they've little ska breakdowns here and there to keep things danceable, also embracing a progressive sound from school of Vampire Weekend 2013 via something a little Latino camp a la Ricky Martin goes indie rock! Loads to enjoy here then! The Red Queens- Smiths vibes here for sureo, the tunes/guitars v J Marr, though the vocal stance has it's own non Mozzer appeal...Columbia- Indie rock meets Britpop. Very Oasis influenced. Bit of Stone Roses, bit of Arctic Monkeys, y'know the score. Bears Of Brasov- Crisp alt pop with a husky vocal and some nice quirky neo punk funk touches. Elements of The Rapture, The Gossip, Le Tigre...but a bit more rocky and straight forward. Rocks out with plenty of get up and go. Elsewhere gets a bit Vampire Weekend like with the guitars n all. Oh and for men of a certain age (hello)... Cute girl drummer check.
