Valentine-all female grunged-up garage rock trio, puts me in mind of P.j Harvey but the angry snarled vocals are more Hole, searing tunes played with verve and conviction. Spitehouse- Sounds an awful lot like Silverchair, who sound an awful lot like Nirvana. The vocals couldn't be more Cobain influenced, and the guitar work brings Candlebox to mind. It's textbook Seattle grunge basically. Ravishingly good none the less. I kinda like the desperation in the dude's voice, they can pull it off. The Blue Valentines- loadsa vocals at play here, a nigh on gospel layering of harmonies- the lead singer has something of Tom Waits...so imagine a soul/gospel Tom Waits then- good tunes too. The CoHorts-fired up rock n roll like a pumped up Thee Hypnotics but with a groove rock undertow that reminds of Fu Manchu
