Influenced by American blues and jazz, Swedish born Sofie Reed changed her plans from theatre school to pursue a career as a singer/song writer. In 1987 she left Sweden and settled in Minneapolis USA. Utilizing her creative skills Sofie freelanced as a stylist within the local music scene, until one of her clients, Sheila Charles, daughter of Ray Charles, hired her as a backing vocalist and her singing career took off.

Following a period of session work and performing with her former husband, guitarist Preston Reed, she moved to Colorado, and in 2004 released her debut CD ‘Baby Boo Got Gone’ which became a top-seller at CDBaby.com.

With hearty foot-stomping, harmonica and voice, Sofie Reed will no doubt have you up on your feet and dancing in no time at all.
