Event information

Voted 'Female Vocalist of the Year' at the British Blues Awards in 2012 "Chantel McGregor - rising start of the British blues guitar scene." 'The Musician' Musician's Union Magazine.

"Chantel McGregor deserves to be held up as a messiah of blues-rock and given her own mountain. She doesn't strum or pick her guitar but almost bends and distorts it, as if she's channelling the ghost of Hendrix through her fingers." Nightshift, Oxford's music magazine

Chantel got her very first half size acoustic guitar at the tender age of three. Aged eight she became the youngest person in the country to pass a Rockschool grade, and at just 12 she was playing and singing at local jam sessions.

Chantel has sung and played on national television and radio, and holds the record for the longest song ever to be played on BBC Radio 2. She's played with Joe Bonamassa, met up with Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Bonnie Raitt, has featured on a DVD with Jeff Beck, Keith Richards and Albert Lee celebrating 60 years of the Fender Telecaster and also featured on a Universal Records compilation celebrating 100 years of the blues.
