EMILY & THE WOODS
Emily and The Woods are a London- based band fronted by singer and guitar player Emily Wood, with her brother Benedict Wood on guitar, Dave Bush on drums and bass player Sam Brown.
Growing up with a musical father and listening to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel, Bill Withers and Erykah Badu, Emily and her brother were always encouraged to perform. However, it wasn't until Emily was 17 that she picked up a guitar and was able to start putting music to songs she had been writing. Since meeting at school, 'the boys' (Wood, Brown and Bush) have been playing as a collective for as long as they could pick up their instruments, with each of them going on to study music.
Developing in a way that far removes the band from the previously labelled 'singer-songwriter' tag, Emily and The Woods' newly honed sound blends luscious vocals with subtle electronic touches. Wood's pensive tone is at the heart of the music, backed by pounding drums, dark and driving bass-lines and shimmering guitars.

EAVES
The solo project of Leeds based Joseph Lyons, you'd be forgiven for thinking that this music had been created in the wilds of a rural abyss, or across the journey of a weary, world hardened life time. Drawing immediate comparisons to the likes of Villagers, Alexi Murdoch, Eddie Vedder, and the great Jeff Buckley, Eaves' small collection of demos are achingly beautiful.
Little Rock is full of enlightening subtleties, completely capturing the listener's attention and covering itself over their mind as a healing rub. If this is the quality of a demo, we cannot wait to hear this potential realised in a fully fledged release.
