Pascal Amoyel's recording of the complete Nocturnes of Chopin was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque Frédéric Chopin 2010 by the Warsaw Chopin Society within the context of the International Piano Competition. In September 2009, the magazine Classicale Monde de la musique considered his recording of the Funérailles (Franz Liszt) one of the five best ever.
His latest recording, dedicated to Charles-Valentin Alkan, released in March 2013, has been awarded a Choc in the magazine Classica.
This recital is being presented with the support of the Alkan Society to mark the bicentenary of Alkan's birth. It is also our Christmas Concert, so it will be followed by a generous finger buffet with British & Polish seasonal specialities and Etienne Dumont Champagne.
