Event information
Now a widely known singer/songwriter and guitarist in her own right, Gill also plays accordion, piano and flute - and sings backing vocals - as a part of Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo, as well as playing regularly with other musicians and bands. Her lyrical modernist folk conceals a dry wit and some darkly complex and carefully nuanced songwriting. She manages what might, on paper, seem impossible by balancing subtlety with a knack for coming up with melodies that stay with the listener long after the music has finished.
