...plus London debut performance for new contemporary jazz group THE WEAVE, led by trumpeter MARTIN SMITH who has appeared on Jools Holland’s Later with The Coral as well as featuring on recordings by Super Furry Animals and The Lightening Seeds, is a collection of world class Liverpool based musicians playing a repertoire of warm, melodious and largely friendly home grown tunes. For several years, Liverpool has been home to a small but extremely vibrant jazz community with a direct, honest and often humorous charm, a hallmark of the city’s music.
