After 40 years of singing, Northern Praeclassica, directed by Mark Edwards, is celebrating with a wonderful mixture of old repertoire and new, including Christmas motets, Tudor anthems as well as folk songs and carols for all. This concert features some favourite classics such as Sing Joyfully by Byrd and Purcell’s I was Glad as well as more modern pieces such as Elgar’s The Snow and Gardner’s Tomorrow shall be my dancing day.
