Event information

Your team of talent scouts saw the "School of Night" at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013 and were blown away by laughter.

Tragedy, Comedy, History or Romance? YOU DECIDE
The School of Night was a secret sect of artists, scientists and spies who some believe wrote Shakespeare's plays.
Revived in the 21st century by maverick theatre genius Ken Campbell, the School has re-formed to make up an authentic Shakespeare play on the spot from your suggestions.

Along the way expect diversions into Keats, Chaucer, Pinter, Dr Seuss... You name it and the School will channel it!
Following appearances at Shakespeare's Globe, The National Theatre, The Royal Court, Bristol Old Vic and numerous international tours, the School returned to Edinburgh in 2013 as Spirit Of The Fringe winners for an afternoon of hilarious literary and theatrical high-wire antics which makes QI look positively lowbrow!

Prepare for n Authentic iambic pentameter (with punishments for failure!)
* Wit, wordplay, flyting and quibbling n Alliteration, assonance and other things we forgot from school
* Injured extras with news of battle
* Seduction of nuns
* Star-crossed lovers (most probably in sonnet form)
* Ghosts, witches, Gods and the supernatural
* Hilarious pastoral comedy scenes
* Excessive Latin
* Bawdy talk
* Beautiful musings on the human condition
