ATOMIC BEAT RECORDS AND SPIRAL SCRATCH PRESENT THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART
Last year's greatest indiepop sensation, this New York four-piece plays noisy, dreamy pop songs in the vain of Black Tambourine and Comet Gain crossed with the Jesus and Mary Chain, with blissful boy/girl harmonies and blistering drums.
Their self-released self-titled EP was highly praised and they are about to release a split 7" single on Atomic Beat Records, to be released in February 2008. This is going to be their first appearance in the UK, playing in an intimate venue. Not to be missed!
"Incredibly melodic and beautiful tunes wrapped in layers of effected-guitars" Indie Pages
"Even Ride's first noisy batch of EPs that helped kick off the whole dreampop era weren't as unremittingly intense and hook-savvy as this beauty." The Big Takeover

POCKETBOOKS
Brought together through a shared love of tambourines, pianos, glockenspiels, jangly guitars and boy/girl harmonies. Pocketbooks had a busy 2007 releasing their debut single along with various compilation and festival appearances. For fans of Belle and Sebastian, The Sundays and classy indiepop, this London five-piece will make your heart melt as they perfectly evoke the feeling of those difficult Sunday afternoons. On a Saturday night.
Their debut 7" single 'Cross the Line' was released in 2007 on Atomic Beat Records. "just about the best group in England at this time" Tasty Fanzine

PETE GREEN
Sheffield's foremost acoustic indiepop singer released his debut single 'Everything I Do is Gonna Be Sparkly' on Atomic Beat Records in 2007, when he also appeared at the Indietracks indiepop festival in Derbyshire twice by popular demand! He will charm your socks off and his terribly catchy songs will leave you humming them in your sleep. Don't miss this rare London appearance!
